The CAN Gateway is a module in the ZE1 Nissan Leaf. It connects multiple CAN Buses together. It is described in the service manual as a 6 channel CAN gateway, implying that it can communicate on up to 6 CAN buses. However, wiring diagrams show 10 different CAN bus connections, so it must in some cases either act as both ends of a bus, or operate in the middle of a bus with connections in and out.

Location and access[edit | edit source]

The CAN Gateway is located behind the Combination Meter.

Connections[edit | edit source]

The CAN Gateway has a single 24-pin connector (M101) of type TH24FW-NH.[2] Pin numbers are from the harness side, as if you were holding the wires and looking into the back of the connector. These do not match the pin numbers on the connector itself.
