This unit provides Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functionality.

In the Leaf, this includes ProPILOT Assist, automatic emergency braking, etc.

It communicates over with the Distance Sensor (ICC Sensor) and Lane Camera Unit directly via the ITS-CAN bus on pins 6-7, with the Chassis Control Module directly via the point-to-point IC-CAN bus on pins 8-9, and with the Side Radars, Around View Monitor Control Unit, Combination Meter and VCM via the CAN Gateway on pins 1-2.
